It's Official...

...our son likes cooking shows. He chose to watch Lidia's Little Italy today over cartoons. Then he went over to his little Ikea kitchen and started to cook along with the show. It was an amazing display of cuteness.

Daniel's Third Birthday

Today is Daniel's third birthday. Christy took the day off work so we could all be together. We went to Lamar's donuts for breakfast. Afterwards, we visited the WOW museum in Lafayette, cashing in on a membership for Daniel that his aunt Jill got him for his birthday. After that we had snacks at Something Sweet in Lafayette: Daniel had a cake-pop (and fell over backward in his chair, giving everyone a scare). And we closed the evening out like VIPs in the Star Room at the Yak & Yeti, where Daniel ate almost half a platter of chicken pokhora (or "crispy chicken," as we call it right now). We were a bit surprised when we walked into the star room, because there was a temporary "art" exhibit featuring tantric couplings vividly painted on black velvet! After dinner we came home and gave Daniel a present: a calico critters cottage. A great day was had by all!

We have many further events scheduled for the octave of Daniel's birthday, too! Daniel is having Turi (his friend from My Gym class) over on Saturday, and then on Sunday, the whole Anderson-Tidd clan, and also Mike & Kari, are coming to our house for a celebration.
